Rachel Shelley will be appearing as Yvonne Rippon in Casualty 27×19 “No Other Medicine”, scheduled to air on Jan. 19, and, judging from the (very spoilery!) episode synopses on the BBC Casualty page for 27×20 “Broken Heart Syndrome”, airing Jan. 26, and 27×21 “Life Goes On”, airing Feb. 2, Superintendent Rippon will also play an important role in 27×20 and 27×21 even though the cast lists do not include Rachel Shelley.
P.S. It might be a good idea to have some tissues handy during these episodes…

My disappointment at missing the convention was muted somewhat because that same weekend I set sail on an immaculate tall ship through aquamarine waters in fairytale land [...] working on ABC’s hit TV series Once Upon a Time.
No word from her on what character she will play or how many episodes she will appear in, though.
She also announces that this will be her last column for the magazine but sweetens the farewell by interviewing “all-round goddess” Pam Grier for this issue.
P.S. Thank you, howembarrassment on Tumblr, for this *verylovelyindeed* GIF of

Update: Oncenews has deduced that Rachel Shelley might guest in episode 2×04 “The Crocodile” as a character named “Milha”. ABC’s press release for the episode should be out in a few days, so we’ll soon know for sure.
Update: The editor’s letter in the October issue of DIVA Magazine states that even though Rachel Shelley’s monthly column is no more, “she will still make regular contributions to DIVA.”
